Changes to Jr. LINK

Jr. LINK, the middle school counterpart to LINK’s high school fellowship, has adopted a new strategy for the coming year. LINK has partnered with four Beacon Schools (KIPP Academy Chicago, KIPP Bloom, KIPP Ascend, and Gary Comer Middle School) in order to better focus our resources and efforts on the South and West Sides of Chicago. The goal of this new structure is to deepen our impact within our target communities and to provide a more holistic experience for Scholars and their families. We look forward to embarking on this new journey, and we hope to expand this new model to new schools and communities in the coming years.

High School Fellowship Updates

We successfully completed our first in-person Summer Learning since the summer of 2019! Our 6-week Summer Learning accelerated instructional program was held at Dunbar Vocational High School.

• 200+ Scholars completed math, ELA, and leadership courses. Scholars also took diverse elective courses, culminating in a dazzling showcase of Scholar talent at our first inaugural LINK Summer Fest!

In line with Scholar and Parent feedback, our high school fellowship is reducing the quantity of programming touchpoints to be more responsive to Scholars’ demanding schedules.

Class of 2027 High School Applications Are Open!

A new application season is upon us! Current Jr. LINK eighth-graders are now eligible to apply for next year’s Class of 2027 high school cohort. This is the next step in your LINK journey to unlock all of the amazing opportunities and outcomes that the 4 year high school fellowship provides. All Jr. LINK eighth graders who complete an application are guaranteed to make it to the interview stage. We highly encourage you to apply. You can begin your application here. 

Jr. LINK Quarter 1 Check-ins Are Coming! 

The end of quarter one is rapidly approaching! Your Jr. LINK case manager (Ms. Angelica) will be reaching out to you to retrieve your report card grades and check on your progress so far this school year. LINK is here to be a resource for your success, and the best person to tell us what you need is you! Be on the lookout for an email containing a mandatory check-in survey in late November.
