Jr. LINK Scholar Spotlight: MyKael Perry

Congratulations to MyKael Perry, a 7th-grader at KIPP Bloom College Prep, who was recently elected to the Black Millennial Renaissance Board. Black Millennial Renaissance is a network of Black Millennials and their allies who are fighting to end systematic racism. BMR champions a message of radical hope and relentless love.
MyKael is a South Side native and an active member in his school and home community. He is on the Steger Wildcats football team, he competes on his college preparatory’s Model United Nations (UN) team, and he’s a member of the Lighthouse Church of All Nations “Chozen” Youth Choir.
A civil rights youth advocate, MyKael values kindness and gratitude. His father, Christian Perry, instilled these values into his life, and MyKael has allowed them to guide the way he carries himself day to day. He is known as an eternal optimist for his ability to see the light in the darkest of situations.
Congratulations, MyKael! We’re so proud of you!
