Congrats to our Jr. LINK Scholars Ava Johnson and Elianna Isaac, who had perfect attendance at Summer Learning!

Ava, a 7th grader at Bronzeville Classical School, said, “The highlight of my time in Summer Learning was the education. Another highlight was the field trips and how LINK made sure everyone had a great time. I’m looking forward to seeking additional education to help me with problem-solving.”

Ava’s mom, Dalila, said, “My goal was for Ava to stay engaged academically and to continue reading and math activities over the summer to strengthen her mind and critical thinking skills. I also wanted her to be prepared academically for 7th grade. As a parent, I am excited to see the programming that will help focus her success in middle school, personal and social success, and high school, college, and career exposure and goals.”

Elianna is in 8th grade at Michelle Obama School of Technology and the Arts. Thursdays were her favorite day of Summer Learning. She said, “I really enjoyed the community trips. My favorite was the trip to the museum.”

Elianna’s mom, Angelyn, said, “Summer Learning was a nice support to maintain academic progress and success. I also liked that the program allowed my child to get to know other Scholars. This year we look forward to preparing for high school and learning more about various colleges.”

With perfect Summer Learning attendance, Ava and Elianna are well on their way to achieving success in their academic journey! Way to go!
