Introducing Our Largest Incoming Freshman Class Ever!
It is my pleasure to announce some very exciting news: LINK Unlimited Scholars has just admitted our largest Scholar class ever! Beginning this June, 100 freshman Scholars will be participating in our four-year high-school fellowship.
Our plans for growth are aggressive—because our fellowship model works, and we want as many high-potential Black students as possible move to, through, and beyond college. Impressively, 60% of LINK Scholars graduate college in four years—compared to just 41% of all U.S. college students and 21% of Black college students. College degrees are a key factor for future success and economic stability, which is why we must open the path to college for our Scholars.
We knew you would be thrilled to hear about this exponential growth! This particular growth spurt is possible due to a four-year commitment from two of Chicago’s most well-known businesses, Mesirow and Kirkland & Ellis. Their investment, like yours, closes opportunity gaps and improves the long-term economic stability for LINK Scholars. And this is why your ongoing support is essential!
