Highlights from Our September Scholar Orientation
We officially launched this year’s programming with Scholar Orientation at our first Saturday Academy on September 16! We hosted nearly 300 people as Scholars and their families connected with each other and met returning and new LINK staff.
Along with some fun community-building activities, prize raffles, and a DJ, we heard from LINK Alum Ezekiel Stevens, who spoke passionately about his appreciation for LINK and how impactful LINK was for him—and he gave Scholars some advice on how to make the most of their own LINK experience as well.
“This was my first opportunity to engage with our community at large since joining LINK’s staff,” said Camielle Taylor, Managing Director, Scholar Support. “It was so exciting to see a room full of our Scholars and families! Coming from the schoolhouse, where I saw and engaged with students every day, I’m working now for moments like this Orientation where I get the opportunity to see the who and why of the work we do.”
Overall, it was an exciting and productive day—check out all the event photos here!
As always, we invite questions and comments, and we encourage everyone who attended Scholar Orientation to share their feedback here. If you have specific questions or need individualized support, we can also be reached anytime at programs@linkunlimited.org. We’re here to help you!
