April Saturday Academy Recap

Community, Leadership Development, and Planning for the Future!
On April 25th, we convened one final time this program year at our partner Holy Trinity High School for Saturday Academy, bringing together Scholars for a day centered around achievement and celebration.

Years ago, Saturday Academy originally launched as “College Success Saturday,” creating a space for the LINK junior class students to jump-start their college application process. Today, it continues to help Scholars grow academically and explore their futures.
“I am now able to step out of my shell, get a bunch of connections, and work with people who have helped shape my life and college journey.” — Cassidy Cerant, Class of 2026
“As I have been coming here, I’ve been studying more and getting more involved in school programs. You guys push me to strive for success.” — Jamar Stuckley, Class of 2027

This year’s final Saturday Academy was jam-packed with exciting activities:
- All Scholars presented their Capstone projects they’ve been crafting all year, and some of our Class of 2027 Scholars had an opportunity to present theirs to our long-time supporters at the Arthur J. Schmitt Foundation.
- Seniors took professional headshots to celebrate their upcoming graduation and transition to college.
- 8th and 12th grade Scholars were recognized for successfully completing the program and “Joining the LINK Legacy.” During the ceremony both graduating classes were presented with their LINK cords, symbolizing their achievements and journey within the program.
- Also, the inaugural Jr. LINK cohort was recognized for their upcoming high school graduation! These Scholars include Jayla Allen, Talia Cole, Christian Gates, Khloe Harmon, Ari Jones, Jai’Den Locke, Chace Martin, and Chiya Stonewall.
Thank you, Scholars, for embracing your growth and leadership this year!
