Can you tell us about your interest and what you have been up to as a LINK alum?

As a LINK alum I’ve graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with high honors in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a minor in Informatics. During my time there I became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. After graduating I was accepted into Google’s Cloud Computing Fellowship program. I decided to change my career from Health to Tech. I recently completed a Digital Marketing Analyst program with Generation USA. I earned two certificates: Facebook’s Blueprint Digital Marketing Associate and Google Analytics. Now I’m currently searching for Digital Marketing Specialist positions .

What skills did you learn at LINK that you have found most useful now as a LINK alum?

The most valuable skill I learned at LINK that I’ve found the most useful was the importance of networking!

What advice would you give current high school LINK scholars in the fellowship?

If you have a slight interest in something, dive deeper into it. Take up hobbies and explore life as well.

What advice would you give to current collegiate LINK alum?

Continue to strive to reach your full potential. It’s also never too late to try something new.

What is your definition of success?

Success is fulfilling your desires and working towards achieving your goals. Even if you experience failure, don’t let it deter you as you’re learning and overcoming obstacles as you go.
