A Peek at What’s Ahead for LINK Scholars | October

Ever wonder what LINK Scholars are up to at this time a year? Here’s a glimpse into happenings this fall:

Saturday Academies

Every six weeks the full LINK Scholar community comes together to explore different topics such as leadership development, Black identity, community service, and potential career paths. After full group programming, Scholars break into their respective cohorts to dive deeper into the day’s topic.

Mentor Matching

October is a celebratory time for LINK Mentors with our “Mentor Welcome Week” occurring next week, and the following week our freshmen Scholars will get to meet their new Mentor(s) for the first time during our matching days. Plus, October 27th is National Mentoring Day!

College Applications

Everything our Class of 2023 seniors have been working toward across their fellowship experience culminates in this final year. Scholars are currently submitting their final college applications and will begin receiving acceptances soon. Younger students are attending college fairs and special information sessions for LINK Scholars as they start thinking about where they’ll apply as seniors.
