LINK Scholar Joshua Bell Earns an American Association of Blacks in Energy Scholarship
In July, Joshua Bell was awarded one of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) Chicago Metropolitan Chapter Scholarships! Joshua graduated in May from Brother Rice High School with a 3.7 GPA, where he completed honors/AP classes in engineering and Spanish and earned Student of the Month and the Archbishop Lyke African American Male Image Award Scholarship. He was also team captain for both the football team and the bowling team.
Joshua points to the support he received from LINK as a contributing factor for his outstanding accomplishments:
“LINK has taught me that I can be successful in whatever I do. When times get hard, you don’t give up. Instead, you keep pushing until you are where you want to be in life.”
This fall, Joshua will attend the University of Dayton. But Joshua affirms that LINK will continue to be a formative part of his life: “My LINK experience has been amazing! I have met a lot of great people that will be in my life forever. I will never forget the memories I had at LINK.”
Congrats, Joshua!
