In Case You Missed It: Mentor Happy Hour for National Mentoring Month

Our recent Mentor Happy Hour on Thursday, January 29, was such a meaningful way to close out National Mentoring Month! The event served as a powerful reminder that mentorship is built on consistency, trust, and long-term commitment.
Throughout the evening, Mentors reflected on the moments they’ve shared with their Scholars, moments that go far beyond academics and highlight the power of relationship-centered support. From everyday check-ins to milestone celebrations, these connections help build confidence, encourage growth, and remind Scholars that someone is walking alongside them every step of the way.

The event also created space for Mentors and LINK staff to connect and strengthen the community behind the work. Several guests expressed interest in getting involved, giving Mentors and staff the opportunity to share firsthand what makes LINK’s mentorship model so impactful.
We’re incredibly grateful for the Mentors who continue to show up for our Scholars—not just for a moment, but for the long term.
Interested in becoming a LINK Mentor and making a real impact in a Scholar’s life? We’d love to connect with you! Reach out to Simon Jeffrey, Director of Mentor Recruitment & Engagement, at sjeffrey@linkunlimited.org to learn more.
