Jr. LINK Scholars Take the High School Placement Test

It was a big day for our Jr. LINK Scholars interested in attending a Catholic high school as they took the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on Saturday, December 6.
Throughout 7th and 8th grade, our Jr. LINK fellowship is designed to strengthen academics, enrich learning, and prepare students for a successful transition into high school. We guide Scholars and their families through the high school selection process, helping them navigate options and identify strong, college-prep Catholic schools where they can excel.
As part of this preparation, Jr. LINK Scholars received support this fall for the Catholic High School Placement Test. This test prep builds confidence, sharpens skills, and improves performance, helping ensure that Scholars are not only accepted into competitive high schools, but are ready to thrive once they get there.
We recently chatted with Andrea Jackson, mother of Jr. LINK Scholar Mariah Jackson (class of 2030), about how Jr. LINK has helped her daughter:

Jr. LINK has helped Mariah build confidence, strengthen her study habits, and develop a greater sense of responsibility. She now feels prepared and excited to take on the academic and social challenges of high school. The LINK test prep gave her the tools, strategies, and practice she needed to approach the Catholic high school placement test with confidence. It truly helped her feel ready and capable on test day.
In her high school experience, I hope Mariah continues to grow both academically and personally, building lasting relationships, discovering her passions, and gaining the confidence to pursue her goals. I already witnessed how transformative this program was for my oldest daughter, Ashley—LINK provided her with supportive Mentors who guided her through high school and encouraged her growth every step of the way. The experience was truly amazing, and I want Mariah to have the same opportunity.
Best wishes, Mariah! We’re excited to help you succeed in high school!
