This campaign, focused on “Doubling Down” on our mission to empower Black excellence amid today’s challenging political climate, was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together. Your support fuels the momentum of our work, especially as we launch Summer Learning, a cornerstone of the LINK Fellowship experience.

We are deeply grateful to each of you who donated, shared, and rallied behind this effort. Your investment ensures that our Scholars continue to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

And while we’ve hit our goal, the work doesn’t stop here. You can still make a gift to help us soar past the $40,000 mark, because continued funding means continued impact. Every dollar strengthens our ability to support Black youth as they advance to, through, and beyond college.

My name is Maurice Tiner. I am a proud LINK alumnus (class of 2013) and the newest addition to the LINK team as Director, Advancement & External Affairs. It is truly an honor to return to the organization that poured so much into me during my formative high school years and laid the foundation for everything that followed…my college success, my career and leadership growth, and my deep commitment to paying it forward. That foundation was built with the support of people like you!

The past generosity of donors like you helped make my journey possible. Those investments in me are why I am here today as living proof of what that support can do. I’m writing to say thank you and to ask you to join us once again.

Today, our Scholars are facing some of the most significant barriers they’ve ever encountered. The rollback of affirmative action, attacks on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and ongoing disinvestment in Black communities all threaten access to opportunities today. This generation of Scholars needs even more support than I did—and we continue to need your help.
