LINK 2022 Alum Laniah Dennis Awarded StriveTogether Art Inspires Scholarship
Class of 2022 LINK Scholar Laniah Dennis was awarded the $1000 StriveTogether Scholarship for her submitted artwork. Her piece “Leap” was displayed at the Zhou B Art Center on September 21st. The oil-on-canvas painting portrays one of StriveTogether’s values; courage.
“I wanted to depict that bravery and courage should start in early childhood to set up generations, specifically people of color, for a successful future ahead. Courage doesn’t mean knowing what’s going to happen in the end, but it means you’re willing to try despite the unknown.”
