Congrats to Maurice Tiner

Shoutout to Maurice Tiner—a 2013 LINK alum and our current Director, Advancement & External Affairs—who was selected for the Class of 2026 cohort of Chicago Urban League’s IMPACT Leadership Development Program. The IMPACT program provides mid- to senior-level professionals with the opportunity to combine executive education courses with topical modules related to contemporary issues experienced throughout Chicago’s diverse communities.
“This incredible opportunity will allow me to deepen my civic engagement, contribute to making Chicago stronger, and help build a more vibrant and resilient community,” Maurice said. “I’ll be learning from Chicago’s top leaders, and I can’t wait to bring these insights back to LINK to continue working for lasting change in our city.”
Since its launch in 2014, the IMPACT Leadership Development Program has assembled 11 extraordinary cohorts (Maurice will be in the 12th), each consisting of some of the brightest, most talented professionals from underserved and under-resourced communities in Chicago. These high-achieving leaders have gravitated toward IMPACT because of the professional advancement and networking opportunities the program affords them.
“Our cohorts are exceptionally diverse in terms of professional experience, educational background, and personal interests,” said an IMPACT representative. “We strongly believe that this diversity of thought and experience is crucial to our Fellows’ learning and development, and we openly welcome the different viewpoints and perspectives that each of our Fellows brings to the table.”
IMPACT Fellows share the Chicago Urban League’s vision of equity and economic mobility and are unified in their commitment to affecting positive change as their generation’s most influential leaders. The hope is that this mutual commitment permeates the very fabric of Chicago communities and inspires long-term social transformation.
Congrats, Maurice! We’re so proud of you!
