Girls Inc. of Chicago gathered on Saturday, March 21, to recognize extraordinary women across the city, leaders whose everyday work creates an extraordinary impact. Too often, the stories of women making meaningful change in their communities go untold. Through She Shines, their signature leadership recognition program, Girls Inc. is changing that narrative by spotlighting Chicago’s strong, smart, and bold female leaders.
She Shines celebrates women who are making a difference in the lives of Chicago women and girls. In partnership with their associate board, Girls Inc. honored these inspiring leaders at a special Women’s History Month celebration dedicated to lifting up their stories and impact.
Dr. Gunn’s leadership at LINK continues to open doors and create opportunities for students and families across our community. Her unwavering commitment to educational access, empowerment, and equity reflects the very spirit of this recognition.
