In Case You Missed It: Alumni Happy Hour and Giving Challenge

LINK alumni recently gathered at our office for a memorable Alumni Happy Hour. The event marked a special moment for many alumni who were visiting LINK’s new home for the first time since our previous building was sold.

The evening was filled with reconnection, networking, and meaningful conversations about the future of LINK.
We are deeply grateful to our event partners who helped make the evening possible, including Moor’s Brewing Company, our beer sponsor for the night, and LINK board member Franklin Reynolds (Class of 1998), who generously provided the wine.
For many alumni, the evening felt like an informal class reunion. Cortez James, a member of the LINK Class of 2013, shared how meaningful the experience was: “It was great seeing so many of my classmates again. I really enjoyed reconnecting and hearing updates on LINK’s work, as well as learning about some of the challenges the organization is facing in the current political and economic climate. As an alum, it reminded me how important it is for us to stay involved. I’m looking forward to volunteering and doing my part to support the Alumni Giving Challenge.”
The event also launched our Alumni Giving Challenge, a collective effort to raise $25,000 from LINK alumni to support scholarships and college readiness programming. This kickoff event was the start of what we hope will be a growing movement of alumni engagement!
As we celebrate 60 years, we’re excited to continue creating opportunities for alumni to reconnect, give back, and invest in the next generation of Scholars.
If you’re a LINK alum and want to get reconnected, reach out to Maurice Tiner at mtiner@linkunlimited.org. Let’s keep building together!
