Scholar Spotlight: Maya Hooks
Congrats to LINK Scholar Maya Hooks, Mother McAuley High School Class of 2025, on writing and directing a one-act play that was recently performed at her school. Mother McAuley features one-act plays written by seniors in their showcase every year. Seniors write and direct the plays, and younger students perform them in the showcase.
“My one-act play ‘Trust Fall’ is based on a young girl named Jackie who seeks vengeance for her sister by ultimately sacrificing her best friend,” Maya explained. “The one-act is only 13 minutes, but the audience is taken on a crazy journey in such a short amount of time. The response I received from the audience was phenomenal, and I could not have been happier!”
