In Case You Missed It
Alumni Reception
We were delighted to recognize and honor many of our LINK Alumni at an Alumni Reception just prior to our 2024 Scholar Celebration at The Promontory on Thursday, June 13.
Since our inception nearly 60 years ago, LINK has supported more than 3,000 Scholars through, to, and beyond college—and whether it was Alumni from 40+ years ago or from a recent graduating class, we were so happy to connect with you and celebrate you at the reception! For those who participated, thank you for attending and representing your class, for taking the time to reconnect and network with your fellow Alumni, and for joining us in celebrating and administering the Alumni Oath to our Class of 2024 Scholars as we welcomed them into the LINK Alumni Association.
As a reminder, here is the commitment we ask all LINK Alumni to take on:
As a LINK Unlimited Alum, do you hereby pledge to uphold the LINK values of Integrity, Resilience, Accountability, Drive, Selflessness, and Intellectual Curiosity through your successful completion of college and into your professional lives?
RESPONSE: I do.
Do you pledge to help improve the condition of your community, mentor at least one youth as you yourself have been mentored in the LINK program, and when financially feasible, provide financial assistance, personal support, and encouragement to a future LINK student as LINK has supplied for you?
RESPONSE: I do.
Upon accepting this commitment, our graduating high school Scholars are welcomed as the newest members of the LINK Unlimited Scholars Alumni Community. The real success of the LINK program is when Alumni become productive adults who serve as strong and loving role models in their homes, community, and society. Each Alum is challenged to stay involved with LINK during their college years and beyond as role models, volunteers, counselors, and ultimately, as LINK Mentors, becoming a part of LINK’s continuing legacy forever.
