If education is the core of LINK, the scholar/mentor relationship is the heart of LINK.

LINK Unlimited Scholars (LINK) is Chicago’s only college and career success organization focused solely on African American youth and has supported more than 2,400 scholars since our founding in 1966. The organizational model provides each of our LINK Scholars with access to four years of high quality, college prep education, personal leadership development, summer learning, college access and success, career readiness, and one-on-one mentoring.

LINK is recognized as a Gold Star organization as evaluated by MENTOR Illinois. This designation recognizes Illinois-based mentoring programs meeting or exceeding best practices across six program areas.
LINK mentors are civic-minded individuals from Chicago’s business and professional communities who want to make a real difference in the lives of youth. Mentors make a four-year commitment to their scholar. Mentors also invest in LINK Unlimited Scholars to ensure that our scholars have access to high quality, college preparatory, academic institutions and essential programming to support them as they achieve their full potential. Mentors unlock the doors of opportunity for LINK Scholars, so that our scholars can change the world!
